Tears swollen with emotion
Can no longer be contained
They beg someone to listen
To the suffering heart within
A soul that just needs comfort
Could be stilled by loving arms
But no-one’s here to listen
There is no warmth to gain
Cries of heartfelt anguish
Send waves around this place
But echoes are just reminders
That no-one else remains
