Sorrowful Sigh

I let loose my breath in a sorrowful sigh
Wondering when I will no longer feel so buried
Under what you may ask?
Under this weight that is constantly carried.
This old weight of mine, pressing down upon me,
Has me thinking that soon the world will cease to be.
Will I cry? Will I sob?
Probably not, as it will be a sweet release
As I let this old soul go.
Do not assume about me, for you shall be so wrong
So as I let loose my breath in this sorrowful sigh
I will tell you of what I’ve carried for so long.
This sorrow, this pain,
This anger and angst,
All of those negative feelings I seem to so easily gain
Nothing happy about this old soul,

Oh no…
But the evils of the world have me surrounded
Leaving me so alone and cold
This old weight of mine,
Carried for far, far too long, has been keeping me grounded.
So as I release my breath in a sorrowful sigh,
I throw up this weight of mine,
And finally get the chance to fly.
However, the weight lands upon my other shoulder
So now it seem the weight has doubled
And now I carry this boulder.

Not really sure what to say, I know that I really like this piece that I wrote. Usually when I get upset or emotional about something my favorite thing to do is write because it provides an outlet. I can communicate better through writing than I ever could speaking.
