Words Matter
Such frivolities of which we pay no attention
Trivial phrases that are only the essence of the moment for us
We forget them before light’s end
There is no need for remembrance

 Yet they remember
They sit and stew on such comments
 They care
 They live for this remembering

 Our words give them thoughts
 Their thoughts create actions
 Actions never fully thought out
 Actions later regretted

For though we never care what leaves our lips
 Others do
 And therefore we should too
For those very words may one day cause us pain.
