I laugh because it hurts to cry
please never ever ask me why
I'm sorry I'm too scared to fly
my heart and my eyes will remain dry
i have learned to always first love me
respect and honesty is what I need
in life i know where I'll someday be
I'll share it with my friends so they can all see
something so beautiful and true
my love for life is overdue
society will no more tell me to be blue
the only person I trust with this is you
