Behind A Mask

I wear a mask
But I know it won't last
I put on a fake smile
That I hope will last a little while
Nobody can see
The real me
I use a fake laugh
That not even my friends see past
When I go home
I am all alone
Nobody cares
They all just stare
I get lost in myself
But no one can tell
I wish they could see
What is the real me
As I hide behind my mask
I wish I could face the past
When I cry tears of sorrow
I wish there wasn't a tomorrow
I know no one loves me
So hiding behind my mask is the key
As I hide behind my mask
I know it won't last
