Crippling kindness loses hold
Appreciated anger anchors bold
Heart clogged so cold
By swallowed lies of the age of old
Lasting waste
Longing for the taste
Of the drug that's laced
With love defaced
Folding the hands
Crafting the brands
Seeking new mental lands
Pursuing untimed sands
Uncharted water
Subduing Poseidon's daughter
Thinking I caught her
When truthfully I bought her
The price was my men
I had lost all but then
I was reminded of the sin
That comes with falling for a siren
The risk that comes when lust beats love
When all the lies begin to rise above
And fly eloquently like a dove
From the mouth they derive of
Sustaining satire
Killing the heart for hire
Discovering my true desire
To no longer feel like a liar
But to feel true love not lust
To have a heart of gold that will never rust
To be the one the crew can trust
To not be blown away by the wind with a gust
But who am I fooling
Telling the truth is grueling
So I'll go back to the lies that I've known so well
And let false kindness out of its cell
