I walk along the market front,
Looking for something to pick up;
An apple,
An orange,
A pear.
Who cares?
It’s not like I can buy it.
Then I see
A pomegranate
A ruby in the sun
I gaze upon it longingly
Wanting so much to have
To hold
I pick my time
I pick my place
I when I’m ready
I’m away
With my ruby in the sun
