That Song
That song reminds me of too many things.
Too many people, too many places.
Too many memories, too many laughters.
Too many tears, too many decisions.
It hits me harder every time I listen.
The echo of the voice brings back all those unrequited love's,
Brings back all the regrets,
Brings back you.
Every time I listen for the lyrics,
they stab me.
They remind me of all the places I wish to go back to,
all the people I have loved.
The rhythm is the pace of my heart, every time I go back to thinking of you.
If I could just go back and get a chance to better know you,
better see you,
better acknowledge your needs.
Those people I have loved;
They are the ones who shaped my life.
Dazzled me, and
put a smile on my face.
That song reminds me exactly of them.
Music is what feelings sound like,
lyrics are the words left unspoken by the heart,
and the singing is the voice from beneath.

Mind you, it is not written to him. :]
There was a moment of inspiration sitting in a stuffed car on my way to a prep school conference. I had to do something to pass the time. xD For those of you who enjoyed my poem, then thank you! For those who didn't, well, make sure to include CONSTRUCTIVE critism.
