Sea of Life

Eventually, we all jump ship,
And dive into the sea of life.
When we hit the water we must decide,
To let the current of conformity sweep us away,
Or fight to get out of the tide.
Some people see the fighters as fools,
While others see them as visionaries.
Those who follow the current
Are called “cool”,
Because they ride the wave of resignation.
Many try so hard to simply float,
That they get lost and drown.
In the end though,
It’s the reason for decision,
Not the choice itself,
That defines us.
