i am by myself

i am by myself
in the big world
nothing here to see or do
being my last summer
i fell joy, excitement, longing and sadness
they all sad that they would keep in touch
it was the best class ever
so many friends, memories, and other things
some friends are gone for a wile some for good
good bye meant so much more on that day
diploma in hand, tear in eye, and trembling steps
i didn't want to say bye
knowing it was the last thing some might hear
now alone doing nothing on a friday night
no more games or fun times
i am truly by myself
