Boom!
The waves crash againsed the jagged rocks
As the rain pours down in sheets
And the lightning flashes across the sky
But the light keeps on working
Spiraling around in circles
Warning sailors of the rocks
And guiding them towards land
The rain gently slows down
And the thunder rolls to a stop
While a ship cruises into the bay
Safe from the angry sea at last
The sailor thanks the lighthouse
For its work on a night like this
Helping others to safety
And still standing proudly tall
Admiring each and every stripe
And gazing in awe as the light continues
Forever working
Forever beautiful
