Numb (Into the Darkness)
A clear cry cuts through the sky like a knife
I am alone
The author of my own pain
Considerably different that anyone and everyone around me
Stained beyond imagination, dirty, empty
Sliced open, fresh blood oozing out of old wounds
Broken, like a piece of glass
Set apart, like a water lily in dirt
Seeping beneath the depths of the earth
Crying thick tears
But nobody listens, and no one hears
Red eyes
Torn heart
Tired body
Empty soul
Unable to fully breathe, my lungs give way
And once again I am lost in the world of the darkness
