and i think we could be happy like this,
just sitting together, real quiet, because sometimes words just aren’t enough.
and i think i may want you to stay with me
in the forever kind of way

the lifetime kind of way.
because i’m not sure where i’ll be in twenty years,
because i don’t like pets,
or stable homes,
or permanent jobs.
and i’m not sure what my favorite band will be, or
my favorite book
or movie.
but maybe we could travel around together
and live like we are the only two people in the world, and
watch bad ’90s sitcoms
and eat breakfast for every meal of the day
and maybe we won’t ever have to grow up,
and we can stay like this forever.
