Stiff lace

Whisper sweet nothings
Into my ears
So my soul
Will fall
Into Love.

Push it down
The deep abyss
And watch it
From above.

Worm your way
Into my heart
And eat it
From within.

Greed is nothing
Next to Love
When domination is
The sweetest sin.

Lock your arms
Around me tight
So I’ll enjoy
Your steel embrace.

I’ll tell myself
The barbs
Around my heart
Are nothing
But stiff lace.
