Favorite Quote:
And yet, through the gloom and the light,
The fate of a nation was riding that night
And the flame struck out by the steed in its flight
Kindled the land into flame with its heat

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Why do I feel as though
The sands of time go too slow
And the bewitchment of
Love fires far too hot.
It carries me away with its vertigo.
Why are hearts contrary?
Why does desire marry
Reason? And if youth seem
Long, why does life so contentment parry?

The author's comments:
Wherein I ask the question why . . . why love when faced with the pangs of reality? Why seek it when life parries you every step of the way? Because . . . Love is the stuff life is made of. Without love, it would be World War II across the centuries.
