In the change between seasons, when the autumn wind blows,
It brings the smell of fallen leaves to your nose,
But if you stand there too long, you will freeze off your toes.

As the crispy brown leaves fall from the trees,
Some people’s allergies cause them to sneeze.
And the temperature drops below thirty degrees.

Small children emerge and move leaves around,
Making leaf piles all over the ground!
Their laughter a joyful and happy sound.

The rushing and bluster of the chill autumn breeze
Sends the leaves tumbling and falling from trees.
And it won’t be long ‘til we strap on our skis.

The wind blows through and lifts leaves off of the ground,
It picks them up and swirls them around!
All the while making a whistling sound.

The animals look for a warm place to sleep,
Because everyone’s chilly, even the sheep.
And they know that soon the snow will be deep.

As the summer sun fades slowly away
And the autumn winds move in to stay
We hunker down in our houses and buy mittens from eBay.
