Gone With the Ocean

My mind takes me to an unknown paradise
Where I stand across the other side of the ocean
Walking to the shore of the diamond water
I feel the grains of sand between my naked toes
The motion of the wind caresses me while it's misty breeze tickles my nose
The oceans aquamarines greet me with the sounds of friendship as I make my way forward
My surroundings talk to me
The waves call out my name
The sand makes a path leading me to the ocean
But behind me a path to lead me back home
One look back at reality before I turn into a world with the ocean
The wind takes a breath in my hair and before I know it
I'm floating in a pool full of diamonds
Not looking back at the past.

What inspired me to write this piece was just my imagination. I've always had a dream of becoming a poet and this is just something I thought of myself while on the computer. What I hope the reader will get out of this piece is that no matter what you're doing or what you dream about, your mind will always drift off into your own utopia and thats really what the poem is about.
