Teenage Heartbreak

Watching it happen
Right infront of your face.
Hoping thats it's just nothing
But you know in your heart, thats not the case.

You knew you were too young.
Relationships rarely work out.
When he said, "We need to talk"
You knew exactly what it's about.

Those bonechilling words.
No! It can't be true!
You're too numb to cry.
His words paralyze you.

You watch him walk away.
All you can do is stare.
Too numb, too crushed to cry
It's more than you can bare.

You slowly walk home.
Kicking pebbles as you walk.
You take the long way home.
You're too tired to talk.

You gaze up into the sky.
Grey clouds are what you see.
A trikle of water lands on your cheek.
You then realize, there's a chilly breeze.

You can't even think straight.
And it begins to rain.
But its okay, rain hides your tears.
And it hides your pain.

You suddenly feel angry.
A stupid boy's made you this way.
He cannot get away with this.
He has to pay.

No. You're better than that.
It just wasn't meant to be.
Be careful of who you choose next.
That is the key.

Never give up.
You're not gonna let him change you.
Yeah it'll be hard to get over him.
But that, you already knew.

Hey Girl, I just wanted to thank you so much for writing this poem. It totally expressed the way I felt when my ex and I broke up. I was so mad and sad but I've never given up on love. Your poem is amazing! Keep up the great work!
