If I Never Knew You

December 17, 2007
By Emily Cochran-Stiff, Old Tappan, NJ

I sit and watch the rain
Then my tears run down the window pane
I look up at the sky
and I heave a sigh
I think of you, how we were
Then I remember...remember...
If I had never knew you
I would have lost my mind
Thinking the world was cruel and unkind
I wouldn't know how life can be
I am so greatful to you
My life and world would be askew
I'd be lost forever
If I never knew you
