To Be A Child Again

August 4, 2008

I want to be a child again
I want to be the me that was meant to be
And not me
I wish that I could start all over
Just to be a child again
If I could be a child again
I wouldn't be me
I'd be the me that was meant to be
I want to be a child again
To feel that peace and innocence
I want to be a child again
But a child again
Is what I can't be

What inspired me to write this poem was the things that I've been through in my life. I just hope that children and teens realize how important there childhood is and I hope that they don't try to rush it.
