Do you know...?
Laughing loudly in the halls,
Talking happily at lunch,
Conjoined at the hip, it seems.
Do you know,
That when we talk,
It makes my heart swell?
Every high-five,
Ever hug that you’ve given,
Amazes me more and more.
Do you know,
That when you hug me,
I never want to let you go?
Others have come too,
And left their faint marks
Upon the surface of my heart.
Do you know,
That amongst the fingerprints,
Yours is deeper than the rest?
The sparkle in my eyes,
The laughter in yours,
Seems to match perfectly.
Do you know,
That though I don’t show it,
There’s something I want to say?
Do you know, I love you?
