The Ice Queen

August 2, 2008

Her lips of icy remembrance gives
Her lips of sweet poison brims
Her eyes of pure hatred rage
Her spirit of unearthly presence spreads

She treads down paths with unscathed pride
And with silent animosity seen or heard
Blankets the land with whispered falls
Illusionary snow brings peace to land

She brings about wars of nature
Summer against Winter, warmth against ice
Winter sweeps out the gifts of life
And strangles the land with a single breath.
