It needed brutality through terror and bloodshed
It devoured the perversion of my thoughts within my head

It warped my mental processes, so a new path would appear
It presented a path of heated coals that would deface and sear

Agony is all I felt then
My beast controlled when I was to sin

I completed the wicked path, yet my feet were not quite fried
I had listened to my senses, but I know now they must have lied

Perhaps a sane man would not wonder at this
