The heart man

You're blind as you think of how the strong man cried
broken down, dilerious, jirading to his own rythm
As his prisoners watched
Smaller
But no stronger

They think that now
we are free
But yesterday he made us free
And the week
And the month before that he made us free

But now he will not let the car
take him
As if he wants to stay with them on the train tracks
And never embrace the last touch of sweet jewelry he saved
because he's saved everything

Yet as he stands in the night
the cold reminds him
that his heart needs to keep beating
And he's gone

Really powerful poem. I think I understand it, but I'm not positive. Keep writing. Want to read more.
