Waiting

My hands clamped together
Eyes wondering the world like a lost puppy.
All alone was the only way to describe it.

The sound of laughter from the fair made me look.
Couples siting together happily hugging and kissing.

I over looked the water from the edge of the peer.
He hadn't shown...
Never was late, always made it...
Where was he?

I left and he arrived,
Did I come back? No.
I left him...
