Emotions crashing
upon me
Worse than waves
on a beach
One moment smiling
from memories
Soon to be tears
knowing no more
And then happy tears
full of hope
That one day it may
come rushing back
Hopeful time won't
change feelings
Or allow distance
to tear apart
Gut sinking fear returns
forcing unwanted thoughts
Suddenly my hear
full of love
Wondering if it's
similar for him
