I Look Outside
I look outside, and take a breath
I smile at nature then I look in depth,
The radiant sunset’s colouring the sky
The moon’s looking down from way up high
The path is filled with overgrown trees
There’s a gorgeous sparkle in their golden leaves
The waves of the sea, are dancing around,
The wind’s floating softly, not making a sound
The birds and the bees are flying all day,
Enjoying the heat of the suns warm rays,
Isn’t it beautiful, the world is so pretty?
But soon it’ll be gone; it’s such a pity,
They’re killing the Earth, slowly, it’s true
There will be nothing left for me and you,
Our generation, has so much to offer,
But they don’t mind, they don’t even bother.
They want to leave us, to fix their mistakes,
And yes we’ll try we’ll do whatever it takes,
But by then, I know it’ll be too late,
The worlds slowly crumbling, they’ve set our fate
We’ll watch as we feel the effects of their behaviour,
Nothing can stop it there is no saviour
We’ll fade away into a sea of despair
And the saddest thing is they don’t even care…
