Frying Wontons MAG
I watch my mother scoop
 the pork mixture with
 nimble chopsticks
 And wrap the wontons
 in sheets of dough
Into the hot oil they go

 I try, but my chopsticks
 aren’t so nimble
 And the wontons don’t
 look so neatly wrapped
 in my clumsy
 sheets of dough

 The kitchen is filled with
 such quiet memories
 of making wontons
 and egg-drop soup
 and moon cakes
 All wrapped in awkward
 sheets of dough
