Ode to Geometry
Your dozens of theorems take up pages of my math notes
I’m sure these postulates will be helful in real life
Leraning about transversals, corresponding angles and parallel lines
Causes me less than zero confusion, or strife

I understand, in proofs, why it is necessary
To state that AB = AB
 Nothing in geometry is obvious
Which is why we have the reflexive property

It is completely possible for planes to go on forever
With nothing ever getting in their way
It makes sense that something can be as long as infinity
Like an angle, or a line, or a ray

I can’t wait until I start using these theorems
Because they are so loved by me
This is, by far, the most important subject
 Oh how I love geometry
