Waiting for the day to come
Hopefully people like what I've become
Though I may be hiding behind this smile
I can make it worth your while
Although this may seem abnormal
But who can define normal?
I may smile, joke, and laugh
Waiting for this stage to pass
"No one understands me"
This generation seems to agree
But how can one understand you
When what you say isn't true?
"The truth will set you free"
Is a lie told carefree
'Cause even the truth
Can't save our youth
In order for our souls to revive
We do what we can to survive
