The End

I trusted and loved you,
but obviously you don't have a clue,
how much I actually care,
so instead you leave me hanging in despair.

Lies are all you choose to hear in the end,
and I'm sorry there is no heart left to lend.
It lies shattered on the floor,
heart beats heard no more.

I can't force you to understand,
seeing as you've chosen to let go of my hand.
My cries and pleas mean nothing,
and my heart longs for you to realize something.

Shadows have consumed your heart,
and they have torn us far apart.
Why can't you let the truth prevail,
instead my heart lies punctured by a nail.

I don't know what to do.
I may not even be able to live without you.
I could never hurt the one I love.
If only you could see above.

You are who my heart stole,
but I am the one who took the toll.
I wait while you are slow,
to deliver the final deadly blow.
