Death comes and it goes
Its as simple as the rising of a rose
It comes like a thief in the quiet of the night
And steals away the precious breath of life

Death goes and it comes
Even more silent than a hum
It doesn’t give time for “goodbyes” and “I love you” s
But it does bring forward a lot of “I’ll miss you” s

Death comes and it goes
When? Not one person knows
Always be prepared or you’ll regret it, you’ll see
Because your future is in the hand of three

Death goes and it comes
Sometimes in the privacy of a home
No matter the age
Nobody safe

Because death comes and it goes
