Dreaming of You

When I wake up
the anxiety overwhelms me
it sets my heart on a quick pace
my hands start to tremble
the blush on my cheeks
grows darker with every passing second
the sweat starts to trickle down my face
I close my eyes
only to see mirages of you
I never want to open my eyes
because
despite all this
it was all worth it
dreaming of you
last night
