My blood runs cold this moonless night,
Head in my hands, I mourn,
Seeing the world thru darkened sight,

Longing to make everything right,
Wishing I'd been warned,
My blood runs cold this moonless night.

Against blindness I attempt to fight,
Hope for my eyes quickly turned forlorn,
Seeing the world thru darkened sight,

Darkness conquering the beautiful light,
That not even the stars adorn,
My blood runs cold this moonless night,

With the dark comes a new fright,
Of never waking in the morn,
Seeing the world thru darkened sight,

Sight of my friends and family denied,
My chest feels torn,
My blood runs cold this moonless night,
Seeing the world thru darkened sight.
