Something soft is in the meadow
A kind of signal from afar
One that seeks a hungry vessel
To kiss it where its petals are
Child of the earthly goddess
A small miracle all its own
Whose feeble hues will fade away
If left to conquer life alone
What strength must such a soul possess?
To bestow its treasured cargo
Upon the wings of novel friends
Once lost in a valley so low
Hope lies in yonder fields of gold
Where the entity’s kin abide
The lover knows its destiny
To seek an undetermined bride
