I used to not sleep at night
Because you haunted my dreams
And being without you was more
Difficult than it seemed
I used to pace back and forth
Praying every day,
Wondering what on earth I could say
To make you change your mind and stay
I used to ache for your answer,
You never gave any apologies
But when I found the answer,
All I could do was seat all the floor and weep
I used to yearn to see your face
To feel your warm embrace
But little did I know,
I was never your taste
I still spend some of those long nights
Thinking of you
Still hoping and praying
That what I seen that day wasn’t true…
