On The Last Day Of Summer
July 2, 2012
On that last day of summer,
I crouched in the water,
And whispered goodbyes,
To the oceans sighs.
On that last day of sun,
To the mountains did I run,
Straining to see,
The fading rays fall with the sea.
On that last night of July,
With the whippoorwill I cried,
As the summer songs of the night,
Fell away like the tide.
