this may well be an absurdity but in the wake of dawn’s uncertainty there promotes a certain urgency for me to verbally express all that these thoughts are, were, or could ever be worth to me...


there sits a flame within the eyes
a game within the lies
a shame within the prize
of embracing my demise

if my soul were fully grown
as my mind sat upon a throne
my heart would be of stone
if my words echoed on alone

if i caused giants to fall
dwarves to grow tall
stallions to crawl
would you notice me at all?

if peace and war collide tonight
if my spirit should subside tonight
if i become the devil’s prize tonight
would an angel stop and cry tonight?
