Dreaded Night

Night is night
In the dim summer light
Shadows passing
Your face illuminates bright
Running around
With such delight
Out in the distance
I sense something to the right
All of a sudden
My throat goes tight
Run! Run!
I exclaim with fright
He pushes me to the ground
With all of his might
Run! Run!
I'm losing the fight
All of a sudden
You disappear from sight
And just like that
My world goes white
