Broken Jewels and Frozen Clocks
Her life is a run down house,
 Full of past forgotten.
Here it is quiet as a mouse
 The walls completely rotten.

 A dining room table,
 His rocking chair-
 It all looks stable,
 But no one's there.

A bedroom with lace lying on the floor-
 Her dresser battered and scarred.
The lies that shook her to the core,
 A memory completely charred.

Here lies a ring, and a diamond chain
 Shattered like her heart.
His watch was left out in the rain,
 Never again to start.

Oh love that is a broken jewel,
 Dear time a frozen clock-
Why do you make me a fool,
This heart that is a rock?
