I Am Like A Candle

I am like a candle,
staying bright to light the way.
The wick is like my lifespan,
growing shorter and shorter every day.
The fire is like my soul,
burning with my heart’s desire.
The wax is like my memories,
flowing down to be hardened again.
The scent is like my happiness,
bringing joy to others.
When my fire burns out,
I am to die.
