Letting Go
The clock is always ticking, no…yelling, screaming!
Screaming at the faces of every single person
Who stands a chance at getting a hold of time.
Time is living inside this machine,
Strangled by its hands, imprisoned by its numbers,
Slowly melting away until there is almost nothing left.
I want to smash the clock! I want to let time go,
Let it wander into the empty spaces
And seep into the cracks of my life,
Where I would hold it, cradled in my hands,
Comforted at last.
