On the first day of school I was prepared and ready
I had my notebook and pens
And an apple at the ready
For my new teacher
School is cool was printed on the board
with a name that said Mrs.Woole next to it
Maybe, I should have brought a spool of thread instead
Because it sounded as if she was born to sew instead of teach
I wanted to preach to the boy across from me
But, instead I took my seat as Mrs. Woole
Introduced us to Home Ec.
