Heartbroken and alone, he tries to leave, because of you, you did deceive. Tears and sobs, from his did cascade, her constant lies, the ones she made. She stole his heart and ran away, eternal heartache is the price he pays. Trying to leave he did fail, he was caught with a mother's wail. Now he recovers slowly but sure, for heartache, there is no cure. Mending pieces, little at a time, with her away, he should be fine. As a friend, I try to help him heal, so that once again he can feel.

I got the idea to write this poem after my friend tried to commit suicide because his girlfriend left him. He wouldn't talk, eat, sleep, or try to get help, then for some reason he told his story to me. Even today I still stand by his side helping him recover from the past that still haunts him. I just hope that he will get better soon.
