Saying Goodbye

July 28, 2008

Meaningless words
Flow through your lips
Trying to ease the time
The time that moves
So slowly
Like a broken winged butterfly
Fluttering and feeble
I try to fly
Fly higher than
The airplane that’s taking
You away
Mumbling aimlessly
In our last few minutes,
Wasting them
Will you think of me
When you see the starts at night
Or will they explode
Before giving us a fair chance
To say goodbye

I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when theyre right, and sometimes good things fall apart so that better things can fall together -Marilyn Monroe
