Mrs. Rosa Parks:
Peacefully defensive,
Kindly aggressive,
Quietly defiant.

Mrs. Rosa Parks:
Dedicated to education,
Diligent at work,
Determined to gain equal rights for all.

Mrs. Rosa Parks:
Careful with her actions,
Smart with her decisions,
Tactful with her arguments.

Mrs. Rosa Parks:
Not willing to give in.
Standing up for herself,
And for African Americans everywhere.

Mrs. Rosa Parks:
A tiny spark.
Creating a fire,
Of a movement.

Mrs. Rosa Parks:
Proud of her family,
Her culture,
And her history.

Mrs. Rosa Parks:
Willing to be arrested,
To stop unfair treatment,
Towards other people.

Mrs. Rosa Parks:
All these things,
To change the world,
For the better, forever.

Mrs. Rosa Parks:
Leaving her inspiring mark,
On America, and the world.
Quietly defiant.

This is one of my favorite poems because it is about one of my heroes, Rosa Parks.
