Fight

Standing in the hall
Laughing and talking
We barely even noticed
The kid that was walking
Till Suddenly
Out of the corner of my eye
I see him attack another guy
A fist meets a face
They're thrashing around
My feet have melted
Into the ground
No one moves
We all just watch
I wish I could make it all just stop
I want to scream
I want to shout
But I can't even open my mouth
They're rolling around
From what I can see
They almost crash into my friend and me
But another steps up
Holding out his arm
A protector of sorts
He keeps us from harm
The attacker has got
A hold on his prey
I just wish there was something
That I could say
The victim's face
Is turning red
If no one steps in
I'm sure he'll be dead
Then finally
A voice calls out
A secretary has started to shout
He finally lets go
I breathe in relief
But I am still shaken underneath
I take in the scene
There's blood everywhere
On the floor
On his face
I need to get out of there
I turn to go
And see a friendly face
It seems to say
"It will all be okay"
I head to a meeting
Stuck in a trance
Not able to give others
More than a glance
The scene replays inside my mind
Each moment clearly begins to unwind
I just want to go home
Where everything is right
I just want to stop reliving this fight
