My eyes no longer can see the smiles of children
My vision is so poor that day and night are the same

Many years ago I could see the blue skies and starry nights

Now I question my eyes and cannot trust them

For they will lead me on a path of danger and destruction

Maybe it’s not my eyes that is the problem
Maybe it’s the world my eyes are seeing
