Summer
Days get longer, nights get shorter
The less we want to be in our living quarter
The cool shiver of spring air turns into a warm closeness
With clear blue skies that bring happiness
Colorful flowers start to bloom
And begin to fade the winters gloom
School classes finally let out
Kids begin to scream and shout
The pools are filled to the rim
With children that like to swim
Laughter fills the air
As the sun begins to glare
Summer break slips quickly away
And before we know it, it is the first school day
As quickly as it came to be,
Summer slips away into fall, ever so quietly
