Alice, please don't.

What are you doing my fair Alice,
Do not follow that rabbit down that hole.
To mysteries a plenty, and joys around.
My fair alice do not follow that rabbit down.
My dear alice do not eat that cake,
Do not drink that drink.
Don’t grow up, or grow fake.
My dear alice do not eat the cake.
Alice do not cry.
Do not cry me a river,
A river that flows wonderfully by.
Alice please don’t cry
Little girl, do not visit the wise,
Do not choke on that smoke.
Earn wisdom yourself with various tires
Little girl do not visit the wise.
Child do not sip the tea,
The tea the mad drink.
Do not expect all offers as charity
Child do not sip that tea.
Do not smirk at the cat,
Although he smiles back,
His intentions are bad
Do not smirk at that cat.
Don’t play games with the Queen.
She cheats you Alice
She cheats with power and greed
Don’t play games with the Queen.
Alice do wake up, from fairytale land
Your visit there had definitely gone bad.
Your imagination got out of hand
Alice do wake up from fairytale land.

My fair Alice, do not look in that mirror…

The author's comments:
This poem is inspired by the book "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll. It is also partly inspired by the way kids and teenagers act when they are told not to do something, yet the still do.
